Jude 1:1-4(Devotional)

Jude 1:1-4
Jude a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James: To those who are the called, loved by God and the Father and kept by Jesus Christ. May mercy peace and love be multiplied to you. Dear friends, although I was eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the Saints once for all. For some men who were designated for this judgement long ago have come in by stealth, they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into promiscuity and denying Jesus Christ, our Only Master and Lord.

God:
Hold on to My promises. Put your trust in Me. Have faith and fight for joy found in Me. Don't worship or seek the good things that come from Me.

Me:
God please help me remember that You alone are worthy of my trust. You alone can save. In only You will I put my faith and trust. Help me to contend for the faith by stepping out in faith with You. Please guard my heart and in my relationships. I want to honor You and love the people in my life in all the ways I behave. Father, help me to love the people you've put in my life, keep us from acting in a way that will cause us shame or resentment. Please help me to love others by putting their good above my selfish desires but also help me have discernment about having people in my life that care for and love me too.
